Rules of deployment
The terms that apply when you download, test, access, or play Last Line.
These Terms form an agreement between you and Black Thorn Labs LLC for Last Line and related services. By downloading, accessing, or playing Last Line, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the game.
Apple is not a party to these Terms, except that Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of the license terms applicable to an iOS download.
You must be legally permitted to use the game and meet the minimum age required in your location. A parent or guardian must approve use by a minor where required.
TestFlight versions are pre-release software. They may contain errors, change without notice, lose progress, disable features, or stop operating. TestFlight access may be limited or revoked. Do not rely on a pre-release build for permanent availability or data preservation.
Black Thorn Labs LLC grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Last Line for private entertainment and authorized testing on devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s usage rules.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits, bypass security, interfere with services, exploit bugs, automate play, manipulate purchases or rewards, or use the game to violate law or another person’s rights.
Last Line may include campaign progress, equipment, upgrades, teams, rankings, rewarded ads, and virtual currencies or items. Virtual items are licensed game content, have no cash value, are not legal tender, cannot be redeemed for money, and may not be sold or transferred outside features we expressly provide.
We may balance, modify, limit, or discontinue virtual items and gameplay systems where reasonably necessary for game operation, security, fairness, or legal compliance. Optional rewarded ads, when enabled, provide the reward described in the game only after successful completion and verification. Availability is not guaranteed.
Planned iPhone purchases will be offered through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Prices, taxes, billing, payment credentials, cancellations, and eligible refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We may receive transaction and entitlement information needed to deliver or restore purchased content.
Except as required by law or Apple’s rules, purchases are final. Contact Apple for billing or refund requests. Contact Last Line support if Apple shows a completed transaction but the associated entitlement is not delivered.
When social features are enabled, you are responsible for team names, tags, invitations, display names, and other content you submit. Do not submit illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening, deceptive, sexually explicit, privacy-invasive, infringing, or impersonating content.
We may remove content, reset scores, restrict features, or suspend access to protect players, game integrity, or the service. Rankings, competitions, and rewards may be corrected when affected by fraud, exploits, outages, or calculation errors. Online team and leaderboard services are not active in the current prototype.
We may update Last Line, require a newer version, perform maintenance, change features, or end a test or service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. You may stop using the game at any time and may reset or delete data as described on the deletion page.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, or harm to the game or other players. Sections that by their nature should survive will remain effective after termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Last Line is provided “as is” and “as available.” Black Thorn Labs LLC disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Mandatory consumer warranties remain unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Thorn Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the game. Our total liability for claims relating to Last Line will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Last Line during the twelve months before the claim or USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Questions may be sent to durian@blackthornlabsgames.com. We may update these Terms as the game or law changes. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate game or release notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
