Privacy

ReplyPilot is designed to keep your reply rules and writing preferences on your iPhone while Apple Shortcuts handles message triggers and sending.

Effective August 29, 2026

Rules stay localContacts, reply rules, and writing examples are stored on your device.
No message historyReplyPilot does not read your Messages database or conversation history.
No cloud AIReply drafting is processed on device when supported.

Information stored on your device

ReplyPilot stores the contacts or people you select, your reply rules, safety limits, writing examples, preferences, and purchase-entitlement state locally on your iPhone. This information is used to configure the app and prepare responses you have requested.

What is processed during a Shortcut

When you explicitly connect an Apple Shortcut to ReplyPilot, the app processes only the current Shortcut Input supplied for that run. The input is used on device to select or draft the response, then the result is returned to the Shortcut.

Apple Shortcuts controls the automation. Shortcuts handles the trigger and Apple's Send Message action handles sending. ReplyPilot does not independently monitor Messages or send messages in the background.

What ReplyPilot does not access

  • No Messages database or full conversation history.
  • No background monitoring of incoming messages.
  • No cloud AI service for reply drafting.
  • No sale of personal information.
  • No ReplyPilot account or server-side contact list.

Subscriptions and purchases

ReplyPilot offers a one-time lifetime Pro unlock through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction. ReplyPilot reads the StoreKit entitlement needed to unlock Pro and restore a previous purchase. Black Thorn Labs LLC does not receive your full payment-card information from Apple.

The free plan supports one person and up to five automatic replies per day. Pro removes the free-plan limits described in the app.

Apple Intelligence and on-device drafting

On compatible devices and system versions, ReplyPilot can use Apple's on-device intelligence features to prepare a response. A fixed local fallback may be used when those features are unavailable. ReplyPilot does not send the message text to a Black Thorn Labs cloud AI service.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or remove rules, contacts, and writing examples inside ReplyPilot. You can reset the app's local data using available in-app controls or delete the app and its data from your iPhone. Because the current app does not create a ReplyPilot account, there is no separate server account to delete.

Children

ReplyPilot is a general-audience productivity utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If a future version changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before the new handling applies.
